Object Biography

  • Objective: To find the extraordinary in the ordinary and practice telling a story from an unconventional perspective.
  • How to Play:
    1. Everyone chooses a mundane object they have with them (a set of keys, a faded receipt, a coffee mug, a smartphone).
    2. They have 15 minutes to write a brief “biography” of that object from the object’s first-person point of view. What has it seen? What is its purpose? What are its “memories” of its owner? What does it hope for or fear?
